What Santander publishes
Santander's UK emerging-talent page describes an online interview plus three short assessment games, then a final assessment experience. That is the only first-party description of the current process.
What earlier cycles report
Prep sites report that earlier cycles used Sova-style activities. Santander does not confirm its current provider; our simulators offer general practice in these formats:
- Situational judgement — rank or pick most/least effective responses to workplace scenarios.
- Verbal reasoning — True / False / Cannot Say against a short business passage.
- Numerical reasoning — tables and charts, calculator permitted.
- Logical reasoning — number and letter series, codes and rule-finding items. Sova's own logical test uses abstract shape sequences.
- Personality questionnaire — statements about how you work, with no right answers.
Practical setup
Santander gives candidates up to seven days to complete this stage and says they can pause and return if needed. Follow the equipment instructions in your invitation.
What good looks like
On the reasoning sections, accuracy at a steady pace beats rushing. On situational judgement, consistency with Santander's published behaviours matters more than picking the cleverest-sounding answer.
Put it into practice
The fastest way to internalise the format is practice in the same question formats.
